so here i am as promised. orientation has officially ended. much as i would like to blog about the orientation, i can't seem to think clearly now. maybe too many activities and things happened that i don't know where to start, or maybe i'm just too tired.

well, i shall try. briefly. first day of orientation was kinda difficult. imagine, i'm all alone by myself in a new environment, meeting new people. didn't exactly like that feeling. but it got better as things went on. we were grouped into our classes for the orientation instead of orientation groups like how it is done in jcs. so yea, got to meet my new classmates and all that. had a welcome speech in the auditorium by the director of school of business management. and wow, the auditorium is very big! or maybe not, just that dunman high's auditorium sucks. haha. in any way, i think that the auditorium is cool. following that we went to play some games. ya know, the boring games we play at orientations. haha. then after that was lunch i think. can't remember. after lunch went for course briefing with the other media studies class. met almost all our lecturers. guess what? the lecturer i talked to before i enrolled turned out to be my personal mentor a.k.a. civics tutor a.k.a. form teacher. then went to play more games. get-to-know-each-other games like wacko. the day ended early at around 430pm.

second day of orientation was more eventful and fun. the games for the day were basically spilt into business games, sports league and adventure park. my class started with sports league first, where we played captain's ball then soccer. it felt great to kick a ball after not touching one or about half a year. wahaha. soccer players always get leg itchy if they don't kick a ball for long. trust me on that. anyway it was good, did not lose my touch surprisingly, even after a long period of absence. captain's ball was good too. we won against other classes, courtesy of me scoring 2 or 3 of the 4 goals we scored. heh. business games was basically that we had to make lemonade to sell and earn a minimum profit of 15 dollars. but in the end my class won 1st place overall when the results were announced today. hurray to that! and another game was that we had to make handmade stuff to sell in the fastest possible time. we sold cookies and brownies but did not win. lastly, the adventure park game. it was quite dumb la. something like stuff you play in obs(though i have personally never been to obs). and it was not fun at all. then after that quite what la. amanda(ogl) asked me to represent the class to go for the mr freshie interview. actually we already had one couple, so i also don't know why she picked one more. in the end when we got to the auditorium, the person in charge said that we could only have one couple. so the two girls agreed le, left me and ken trying to push the responsibilty to each other. it was really quite funny la. in the end ken got chosen, i forgotten how. i think was the toss of the coin or something. but yea, good that i did not have to go through the interview and all that. haha. paiseh lehh. and furthermore i'm not exactly cut out for mr freshie.
so yea, walked back to find the rest with amanda, hafeez(ogl) and aretha(the other girl). after that went back to auditorium again for debrief.

last day of orientation which is today. slacked ard in the morning when we were supposed to rehearse for the performing item later in the day. lunch was early. and it was provided for like it was in the first day. the second day was on our own so we had mac for lunch. now that i think of it, the ogls did not collect the $10 we were supposed to pay for the orientation package. wahaha good. or maybe we don't need to pay for it in the first place. dunno. then had some orientation games again after lunch. later in the day went to auditorium for some AIDS talk. then our performances. this was the part which got us fuming. in the end they had to cut short our(the two media studies class and the two sport and wellness class) performance cos time was limited and we did not get to do some part of it and everybody was like damn pissed off. our female ogls were so upset that some of them cried. i mean, it was like we practised so hard only to have our efforts go down the drain. though i was only in charge of cheering, i empathise with them. sigh. but then again, the reason they cut short was that the directors of sbm had to leave so they couldn't drag on. actually it was a valid and perfectly understandable reason in my opinion, just that the whole grp of us wasn't too rational at that point of time. and they did apologised for it after all. oh well, things happened. but all ended well, we cheered for our group's ogls, we cheered for ourselves, REAL loud. and in the end the ogls were touched la. and the day came to a close with class phototaking, ogls included.

ohh, a new girl, fionette, was added into the class today. so that totals 26 people with 19 girls and 7 guys. i saw that coming, haha. anyway, MS0501 seems quite a nice class. should be no problem getting along with.

wanna thank amanda, hafeez, caiying and ying for being such wonderful ogls and the best ever! MS0501 rocks!!

okay, that is all. i'm really very exhausted now.
shall go sleep.

goodnites.
